Hey loves, I’m back with a NEW series on my blog. I’m constantly buying things and I always want to share my thoughts on them but I’m always late too post about the newest things. So I decided I would share my thoughts on different foundations, once a month or so. Mainly a first impression and wear test. Over time I will have videos posted on my YouTube channel where you can see how it applies.
But today, I wanted to share with you my first impression on the Becca Ultimate Coverage foundation in maple. I’ve personally never worn any of their foundations before but I’m a huge fan of their highlights. Recently I made a purchase from Sephora online and I was able to get a deluxe sample size to try and I was very impressed with it.
This foundstion is suppose to be a full coverage foundation with a 24hour wear. I would agree that it would be considered full coverage and I found it gave a very natural finish and was super lightweight on the skin. It was able to blur out my imperfections without much effort and didn’t leave me looking cakey at all. With this foundation I was able to wear it for about 11 hours without having to touch-up and at the end of the night I was still looking flawless.
Im definitely going to keep this sample in my foundation rotation and see how it continues to perform. I got it in and I find that it’s a very decent match for me currently, especially with all the sun I have been getting. I do think if you are on the market for a new foundation, I would recommend you getting a sample from Sephira to try out and hopefully you enjoy it as much as I do. If you have tried out this foundation before, let me know your thoughts on it, in a comment below. I would love to hear from you.
Until next time,
Hey loves, I’m back with another post from Influenster. I received a couple samples of the Le Petit Marseillais Mandarin and Lime body wash to try complimentary from the brand. I have noticed this brand before while shopping in Shoppers Drug Mart. I was very happy to try it out, I’m always happy to see new things and not always stick to my regular routine. In my VoxBox it also came with a coupon with $2 off my purchase of a full size body wash from the brand, which I definitely used.
When shopping to purchase from this brand, I found it very hard to find. It wasn’t in my local Shoppers Drug Mart anymore, which is most convenient for me. But I was able to track it down at a Walmart. When I went to pick out a scent they didn’t have any options; just the mandarin and lime or white peach and nectarine. I found this very disappointing because I wasn’t to see all the available scents but wasn’t able to.
Even though I found it hard to get my hands on it. I did really enjoy the product. I enjoyed how it lathered up and had a soft scent. I find that the scents didn’t last very long, which works fine for me because I work in a dental office and I don’t want an overpowering scent that lingers. I did find that it was moisturizing and didn’t leave my skin feeling tight and dry. At the end of the day, I would recommend this product if you were on the market to try something new. I personally don’t think I would be purchasing it again, only because where I live there isn’t a Walmart in my area. But if I did see it at a Shoppers Drug Mart I would definitely purchase it. If you have tried out this product, leave me a comment down below and let me know your thoughts on it, I would love to hear back from you. And thank you again Influenster for giving me the opportunity of trying out this brand.
Hey loves, I’m back to share with you the face masks I recently picked up from Sephora. Lately, I’ve been watching or reading a lot of posts with people incorporating face masks into their daily skin routine and I wanted to try some out. In the past I have tried sheet masks from Neostrata that I loved but I wanted to try some different ones.
I picked up a total of seven different masks to try. I picked up two face masks, two eye masks; and one for my nose, feet and hands. I definitely think these would be a great addition to my skincare routine. I definitely will be to share my thoughts on how they work out.
If you have tried any of these out, leave a comment down below. I would love to hear your experience with them.
Until next time,
Hey guys, I’m back with a new post. I know I haven’t been posting the most since I’ve been back but I definitely want to get back into blogging.
Recently I received a complimentary box of items to try from Hello Fresh in partnership with Influenster. I was extremely surprised and happy with all the items I received in my box.
In my box I received 2 items from Club House, the Brown Sugar & Bourbon Mix-In and Spicy Montreal Steak Spice. Along with a bottle of Frank’s Red Hot Sauce and a coupon from French’s.
This past weekend I was about to try out both of the Club House items that I received and I was super impressed. Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures of how the food turned out. But I’m definitely going to purchase the mix-in and create some great burgers with it. I will definitely be using the Hello Flavour site to try out new recipes and hopefully I will be able to share with you how they turned out in the future.
From French’s I decided to use the coupon to purchase some mustard. You can’t have a BBQ without some great mustard. I’ve always used French’s in the past and recently ran out and I was happy I was able to get a new bottle.
I’m super impressed with the items I received and I will continue to use them when I’m cooking. And because I was so happy with the Club House ingredients, I will definitely look into trying more.
Hey loves, I’m back with a new nail polish haul post. If you haven’t noticed I love nail polish and one of my favourite brands is Essie. No matter how many nail polishes I have, I will always continue to purchase their limited edition collections.
This collection consists of 6 beautiful shades perfect for Spring going into Summer. If you saw my previous post I wore Bon Boy-age which I believe complimented my complexion.
In this collection there is:
Bon Boy-age -a nautical mint green in a cream finish
Perfect Mate – a pristine pop of coral pink in a cream finish
At The Helm – a fire orange with a hint of salmon red in a cream finish
Pass-port to Sail – a sandy beige with an ivory shimmer in a sheer finish
Anchor Down – a preppy blue with pewter grey undertones in a cream finish
Stripes & Sails – an intense teal green in a cream finish
I’m really in love with all the colours that came in this collection and hopefully I will be able to share with you how they look on me over the next few weeks. Definitely stay tuned for more posts and hauls.
Have a lovely weekend!
Hey loves, I’m back with a new mani Monday post. If you guys weren’t aware I’m a huge fan of nail polish and especially limited edition nail polish collections. Usually I don’t miss out on purchasing new polishes, even though my collection is growing completely out of hand but there will always be room for more.
I recently purchased some new polishes Essie and I fell in love with all the colours. This beautiful shade is from the Spring 2018 collection, I will definitely be doing a post soon on all the colours in this collection.
Bon Boy-age is a beautiful nautical mint green with a cream finish. I found that this polish applied with ease, like many of the other Essie polishes that I own. It was opaque with just one coat but I always apply 2 just to be on the safe side. I was able to wear this polish for about 10 days prior to it chopping and I received many compliments on this colour.
For this manicure I used the Essie First Base coat and the Good to Go top coat. Usually I switch up my base and top coats pending on what product I have I hand at the time.
Definitely stay tuned and I will be coming back to share with you more polishes from my collection and hopefully you enjoy these posts. Leave me a comment down below sharing with me what your favourite polish brand is or what you are currently wearing on your fingers, I would love to hear about it.
Have an amazing week!
Hey loves, I’m back with my first beauty post of 2018. I figured that this year would be a year for growth on both my blog and YouTube channel. And for me to achieve those goals, I actually have to start wearing all the products that I purchase and share with you guys the look I created with them. To start off the year, I decided to wear a very simple but put together look for work. It was my first day back after having 3 days off. I can’t wait to share more looks, once I start playing with more colors over the next few weeks.
Covergirl Vitalist Elixir Foundation in Tawny
Becca Aqua Luminous Concealer in Tan – highlight
Sephora MicroSmooth Powder in Tan
Anastasia Beverly Hills Havana Contour Powder – contour
NARS Amore Blush
Benefit Goof Proof Pencil in 05
Tarte Tarteist Mascara
Makeup Geek Showstopper Creme Stain
Buxom Dolly Lipgloss
This definitely my go to look for work, when I want to look a little human but I still want to sleep in. Definitely, need to come back with a more glam everyday look, once I get around to wearing it.
Until next time,
