Haul // Essie Spring 2018 Collection

Hey loves, I’m back with a new nail polish haul post. If you haven’t noticed I love nail polish and one of my favourite brands is Essie. No matter how many nail polishes I have, I will always continue to purchase their limited edition collections.

This collection consists of 6 beautiful shades perfect for Spring going into Summer. If you saw my previous post I wore Bon Boy-age which I believe complimented my complexion.

In this collection there is:

Bon Boy-age -a nautical mint green in a cream finish

Perfect Mate – a pristine pop of coral pink in a cream finish

At The Helm – a fire orange with a hint of salmon red in a cream finish

Pass-port to Sail – a sandy beige with an ivory shimmer in a sheer finish

Anchor Down – a preppy blue with pewter grey undertones in a cream finish

Stripes & Sails – an intense teal green in a cream finish

I’m really in love with all the colours that came in this collection and hopefully I will be able to share with you how they look on me over the next few weeks. Definitely stay tuned for more posts and hauls.

Have a lovely weekend!

Mani Monday // Essie Bon Boy-age

Hey loves, I’m back with a new mani Monday post. If you guys weren’t aware I’m a huge fan of nail polish and especially limited edition nail polish collections. Usually I don’t miss out on purchasing new polishes, even though my collection is growing completely out of hand but there will always be room for more.

I recently purchased some new polishes Essie and I fell in love with all the colours. This beautiful shade is from the Spring 2018 collection, I will definitely be doing a post soon on all the colours in this collection.

Bon Boy-age is a beautiful nautical mint green with a cream finish. I found that this polish applied with ease, like many of the other Essie polishes that I own. It was opaque with just one coat but I always apply 2 just to be on the safe side. I was able to wear this polish for about 10 days prior to it chopping and I received many compliments on this colour.

For this manicure I used the Essie First Base coat and the Good to Go top coat. Usually I switch up my base and top coats pending on what product I have I hand at the time.

Definitely stay tuned and I will be coming back to share with you more polishes from my collection and hopefully you enjoy these posts. Leave me a comment down below sharing with me what your favourite polish brand is or what you are currently wearing on your fingers, I would love to hear about it.

Have an amazing week!

FOTD // 01.03.18

Hey loves, I’m back with my first beauty post of 2018. I figured that this year would be a year for growth on both my blog and YouTube channel. And for me to achieve those goals, I actually have to start wearing all the products that I purchase and share with you guys the look I created with them. To start off the year, I decided to wear a very simple but put together look for work. It was my first day back after having 3 days off. I can’t wait to share more looks, once I start playing with more colors over the next few weeks.

Review // Kat Von D Saint & Sinner Fragrances

Hey loves, I just wanted to come share with you my thoughts on the Kat Von D fragrances. I did receive these from Influenster, complimentary, to try out and I’m super thankful for the opportunity. I remember while working at Sephora about 5 years ago, these fragrances were popular and people were always asking about them. Then we slowly didn’t care them anymore. Back then I wasn’t really into branching out and trying new fragrances and I stuck to the ones I loved. I remember was we stopped carrying her fragrances people would constantly come in and see if they were in stock and now I can understand why they were so popular.

Out of the 2 fragrances, I definitely think that Saint is my favorite. It’s a little more sweet with floral notes. I find that with this fragrance it wears well and it’s not overbearing, which is great for work. I think this scent is perfect for the summer months. It just gives me happy vibes whenever I wear it. Also, I have already finished my bottle that I received, I enjoyed it that much. The key notes in this fragrance are Vanilla, Musk, and Jasmine. Even though this scent has Vanilla, I don’t hate it. Typically I find vanilla to over barring but this has the perfect blend to it. I will definitely purchase a roller ball of this fragrance once I finish a few bottles in my collection.

Now finally, Sinner. This fragrance is beautiful as well and wears beautifully. With this scent, I find it a little heavier and I enjoy wearing it more in the evenings. Don’t get me wrong you definitely could wear it during the day but for me, I prefer¬†it at night. Sinner is a bit spicier but you can still smell a hint of floral. The key notes in this fragrance are Patchouli, Wood, and Cinnamon. For myself, I think this scent is beautiful and I will definitely be wearing it once Fall hits.

FOTD // 05.23.17

Hey loves, I’m back with a new FOTD post. I haven’t done one of these in ages and I really want to get back into the blogging. It definitely gives me a creative outlet and I want to put back some effort into it. Usually I will get all done up with my makeup and be like I will post about it tomorrow and it never happens. So today I’m not going to be lazy and put it off and share with you the look I wore to work today.

This look was super easy to do. I honestly only used one palette, Urban Decay Naked Smokey, to create this look. Today, I was running super late for work and I wanted my makeup to match my outfit. Not so much in color but I looked put together and I wanted to look just as amazing with my makeup. Not saying I have to wear makeup to look great but I wanted to complete the look . I did film this look, so if you follow my YouTube channel you will see it later this week.

Review // CoverGirl Total Tease Mascara & Katy Kat Eye Liner

Hey guys I just wanted to share my thoughts on these new Covergirl products. I received them from Influenster for free to try out. I received the new Total Tease Mascara and the Katy Kat Eye Liner in Katdabra.

On the Covergirl website thru describe the mascara as giving you full, long, refined sexy teased lashes. It is suppose to give you lashes with maximum lash definition. This is the first Covergirl Mascara I have used in years. Typically I’m not a huge fan of their brushes but this one is definitely a good one. It’s a thin brush with a smaller teasing brush on the end. With this mascara I find that it separates my lashes very well and gives it a decent amount of volume with just one coat. I find that it is very buildable without clumping. I do find that the can stick my lashes together but then I just use the teasing comb to separate them. I really enjoy using the teasing comb on my bottom lashes; it helps lengthen them and gives them volume.

On the website, Covergirl describes the liner as high-pigment and intensely color. I find that it is super pigmented and doesn’t budge once it sets. It makes a great base for smokey eyes and the smudge tip makes smoking it out very easy. The liner glides on smoothly without tugging on the skin. It dries very quickly so if you are planning on smudging it out; I recommend doing one eye at a time. I find the quality of this eye liner very comparable to higher end liners on the market. I’m definitely going to look out for the other colors in this line and try them out.

I definitely see myself purchasing this mascara in the future and recommending it too all my family and friends As well, I will be keeping my eye open for the Midnight Matte liner so I can try it out as well. If you have tried out any of these products I would definitely love to hear your thoughts on them.
